July 4, 2024 was the last day at the Albatross ECoLabel educational garden with the Lycée du Forez. The program includes harvesting, plum picking and jam-making.

It was during this day that we warmly thanked Mrs. Audrey Roattino, Sustainable Development Referent at the Lycée du Forez. Audrey and I have been working on the educational garden project with the Lycée du Forez for nearly 3 years. Without Audrey’s efforts and perseverance in raising awareness among high school students, the project would not have achieved the success it has, particularly with its recent recognition and award of the Eco Label.

During this day of harvesting and picking, it’s worth highlighting the tireless work carried out on the Mirabelle plum by our volunteers. Many branches had fallen under the weight of the plums, and the Mirabel tree was cleaned up, cleared of dead branches and prepared for the next season.

Finally, the day came to a close with the preparation of jars of mirabelle plum jam, which the volunteers shared among themselves.
