On Saturday, November 30, 2024, six members of theAssociation Jeunes Ambassadeurs – four Cameroonians and two Colombians – accompanied by their respective sponsors and a number of the association’s board members, took part in a warm dinner organized in collaboration with volunteers from the Albatross Foundation. For the occasion, chef Paul Deville prepared a traditional French formal dinner (served by the plate) for the godparents. Meanwhile, the Young Ambassadors and members of the Albatross Youth League from China enjoyed an informal Savoyard dinner. Last but not least, Manuela Cardona from Colombia concocted fabulous Colombian cocktails!
The event was an opportunity to share moments of conviviality, exchange and intercultural discovery, thanks to the Young Ambassadors who presented their culture through traditional dances, and above all Carlos Murillo’s breathtaking Colombian salsa class. All this was made possible by the invitation and warm welcome of Albatros Foundation President Ghislaine Bouillet-Cordonnier.
The mission of theAssociation Jeunes Ambassadeurs is to welcome young international students and, through a sponsorship program, facilitate their cultural integration in France. This program offers them an enriching immersion in French culture, a discovery of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the chance to network and develop high-impact projects.
On Sunday December 1, the Young Ambassadors, accompanied by the President of Albatros, took part in an intercultural brunch where they shared and tasted typical dishes. The event also provided an opportunity for dialogue with the foundation’s webmaster Aurore Belle Yang, giving participants the chance to learn more about the mission, activities and objectives of the Albatross Foundation. It was undoubtedly an experience rich in cultural discoveries.
Many thanks to Ghislaine Bouillet-Cordonnier and the Albatross France Foundation for their exceptional welcome.
