Tiger Center’s health awareness efforts

In the rural areas adjacent to Kanha National Park, where medical services are not available, the Tiger Center has been providing medical services to tribal populations and the general public for many years.

As always, this time we found a village (Tilri) around 15 km from the Khatiya gate of Kanha National Park, where the inhabitants were suffering from blood deficiency, with anaemia spreading rapidly through the village.

Our qualified doctor carried out a door-to-door health check in the village and gave health advice to the population. In particular, he visited the children’s school to talk to them and give them health information.

The doctor also gave information to the village women on what to keep in mind during pregnancy and what to eat, and distributed medicines to solve the problem.

Although the Tiger Center also works in many other fields, at the moment the needs are health-related, and the Tiger Center is devoting all its efforts to this.
