We\u2019re still buzzing from last weekend\u2019s annual meeting in London\u2014the first in our 61-year history to be held on the banks of the Thames, and the culmination of months of hard work. A huge thank you to everyone who made the trip. <\/p>\n\n

“What really sticks with me is the overwhelming sense of community that motivated us to volunteer for our roles in the first place.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

The weekend kicked off with a bang with a reception at Paul Hastings, hosted by HLSAE President Salom\u00e9 Cisnal de Ugarte, LL.M. ’94, and HLSA President Yvonne E. Campos, J.D. \u201988\u201437 stories above the city, looking straight out at the Gherkin. A reminder that London is as deeply modern as it is rooted in history. <\/p>\n\n

Friday evening was truly special: Alumna Sarah Sackman, KC, MP, LL.M. \u201911, welcomed us to the dining room of the Houses of Parliament, where she delivered a heartfelt speech about how Harvard Law School laid the foundation for her to serve her constituents\u2014and especially those who need it most. <\/p>\n\n

On Saturday, participants attended a panel discussion featuring AI experts and legal professionals, followed by a presentation by HLSAE scholarship recipient Anna Bilanov\u00e1, LL.M. ’22. The evening festivities brought together Felix Dasser, LL.M. \u201990, recipient of the HLSAE Award, as well as a high-level delegation that had traveled directly from Cambridge. <\/p>\n\n
