{"id":131224,"date":"2023-02-21T10:13:56","date_gmt":"2023-02-21T09:13:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/albatrossglobal.org\/students-from-the-lycee-du-forez-trained-in-permaculture\/"},"modified":"2023-02-21T10:35:45","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T09:35:45","slug":"students-from-the-lycee-du-forez-trained-in-permaculture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/albatrossglobal.org\/en\/students-from-the-lycee-du-forez-trained-in-permaculture\/","title":{"rendered":"Students from the Lyc\u00e9e du Forez trained in permaculture"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Monday, December 12, 9 students volunteered to participate in a first training session in partnership with the Albatross Foundation located in Pouilly-L\u00e8s-Feurs.<br\/>The association, which aims to raise awareness of sustainable development among young people in a scientific and fun way, receives groups at the<br\/>Buis with a project to create an educational garden.<br\/>The student volunteers benefited from the intervention of two professionals:<br\/><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an agricultural engineer who was able to present the importance of knowing the soil and explain what a &#8220;living soil&#8221; is. Florent, the first speaker, also took the time to share his knowledge of forestry before having our students plant fig, plum and peach trees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The second speaker, Aur\u00e9lien, is an agroecological market gardener in Saint Marcel de F\u00e9lines. He asked the 9 volunteers to prepare the soil for winter using materials found on site to amend the soil and protect it from the cold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our students had fun collecting dead leaves, horse manure, cardboard and hay and organizing future planting bays.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This day was very rich for our students who were rewarded with good hot chocolates and a snack offered.<br\/>The 9 volunteers are already ready to continue their efforts in future sessions to see this educational garden grow even more.<\/p>\n\n<p
