This week, the Albatross Foundation<\/strong> had the great pleasure of welcoming a dynamic and committed group of Scouts<\/strong> toAlbacamp<\/strong>, an immersive stay designed to reconnect young people with nature, with themselves and with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the generous July sunshine, our place of sustainable living and experimentation was transformed into a veritable educational adventure playground<\/strong>. On the program: gardening, outdoor cooking, collective workshops and community living<\/strong>. Simple yet essential activities that awaken ecological awareness while cultivating team spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gardening for understanding: a lesson in living nature<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of the week was the discovery of the educational garden<\/strong>. This living space is at the heart of the Albatross project: it is a concrete illustration of the principles of permaculture<\/strong>,agroecology<\/strong>, seasonality<\/strong> and food autonomy<\/strong>. For many, it was the first time they had seen lettuce growing outside a supermarket, touched living soil or understood why some plants grow better together than others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by our team, the youngsters observed, asked questions, and above all… got their hands dirty<\/strong>. Together, they harvested lettuces, chard, onions and potatoes with care, pride and a certain joyful curiosity. They learned that every plant tells a story<\/strong> – of patience, of weather, of daily care – and that eating what you’ve grown yourself changes everything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From garden to plate: cooking together to nurture relationships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the harvest, it was time for processing. Armed with their freshly picked vegetables, the scouts were invited to prepare their evening meal around a campfire<\/strong>, in a warm atmosphere full of laughter, tasty smells and collective improvisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than a simple dinner, the evening was a true celebration of living together<\/strong>. Some washed vegetables, others peeled, still others tended the fire. Regardless of age or experience, everyone had a role, a place. This moment of culinary sharing provided an opportunity to taste the fruits of their efforts<\/strong>, while celebrating the virtues of simplicity, autonomy and collective joy<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning differently: passing on the values that unite us<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to practical activities, the week was also a time for reflection, dialogue and self-examination<\/strong>. Exchanges around the campfire or during quiet times enabled us to tackle profound subjects in a natural way: man’s place in nature, the importance of mutual aid, everyday ecological gestures, and the way in which each of us can have a positive impact on<\/strong> those around us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These moments of introspection and transmission highlighted the fundamental values<\/strong> of the Albatross Foundation:\ud83d\udd39 Education through experience\ud83d\udd39 Respect for the living\ud83d\udd39 Collective action\ud83d\udd39 Caring and listening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young people left not only with vivid memories, but also with concrete tools<\/strong> to change the way they look at the world and themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d like to say a huge thank you to this inspiring group of scouts<\/strong>, for their enthusiasm<\/strong>, curiosity<\/strong> and commitment throughout the week<\/strong>. Their visit left a positive and joyful mark not only on our garden, but also on the hearts of the Albatross team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This edition of Albacamp reminds us just how much young people, when placed in a respectful, stimulating and lively environment, can bring out the best in themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to all those who helped make this week a unique experience: the supervisors, volunteers, gardeners, makeshift cooks, and of course… nature, which teaches us so much when we take the time to listen to
